Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow

Links asanas with the breath while flowing through sequences to create an internal heat. This is a faster paced moving class with not as much time spent in each posture. Each class is the same, flowing through the same sequences. Class starts off with an opening sequence followed by five repetitions of Surya Namaskara A and five repetitions of Surya Namaskara B, followed by a standing sequence that includes balancing, a floor and abdominal sequence followed by a closing sequence. 
 

A basic knowledge of traditional asanas is recommended for this class, but ALL levels are welcome at any time! Want to try it for the first time? Just let us know! If you are wondering if this class is right you for, you could consider trying our Gentle Flow class first, which would be a stepping stone to the faster paced Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow class. This class is recommended for those who want to sweat, get your heart rate up, and enjoy a consistent flow and similar class each time.

Just A Few Health Benefits of Ashtanga Flow 

 Vinyasa is great for internal cleansing. Breathing and moving together while performing asanas allows the blood to circulate freely through the entire body to every single organ and limb, so it’s better able to remove pain, impurities, and disease.
The sweat generated by Ashtanga practice is also beneficial, because it removes the toxins brought out by the boiling blood.  
Not to mention, this makes our skin glow, and kick starts metabolism! 

Ashtanga Vinyasa practice is also fantastic for strengthening and toning the body, and getting our heart rates up.
