Gentle Flow 

I love to create 'flow' in my classes! This gentle flow class is designed for relaxation, rejuvenation, and a focus on the mind for meditation.  We enter into asanas gradually, sometimes flowing in and out of them, to eventually find a holding position. We still flow through postures to create warmth through our body, however the pace of this class is ideal for really being able to get into a posture and understand how our body should feel in each posture.  I strive to provide a few variations of this class, so that each time you come you may get a chance to try a few new postures! 

 

Gentle yoga is great for all ages and skill levels.  This is a great class to start out with if you have minimal yoga experience, and especially if you would like to participate in the full Ashtanga Vinyasa Class one day! This class can also be beneficial if you have previous injuries, or are recovering from an injury (Please note, you must always seek medical professional advice regarding yoga if you have any health conditions or severe injuries).

The gradual entry into postures protects and nurtures the joints, muscles, and connective tissue.Gentle Yoga is particularly good for balancing digestive difficulties because its slow, rhythmic movement is soothing and relaxing to the nervous system. Done regularly, it can also improve sleep patterns.
